This type of filler consists of ca. 65% aluminium hydroxide and is presented as a white powder, very fine, with particles < 60 microns.

Use Filler Mineral B

Purpose of adding filler B is to reduce costs obtaining the final object without influencing its quality and reducing the exothermic reaction (heat release) for casting objects with more generous thickness (> 1... 2 cm). 

filler B is a mineral powder filling material used to pour polyurethane resin objects (Multicast range) or pour epoxy resin. It is recommended to add filler for all cast objects with a thickness greater than 5 mm.

The proportion of filler that can be added to the resin ranges from 100% to 300% (100g filler / 100g resin up to 300g filler / 100g resin). The filler finding a filling material does not react with the two components of the resin (base and hardener) and then the mixing rate is not very strict, the only influence consisting in changing the vascosity of the resin when casting.

As practice the filler is added following the following steps:

• Weighing the desired amount of resin (basis) In a container.

• Weigh the appropriate amount of resin (tightening) In a separate container.

• Add the amount of filler needed in the base container and mix until homogenization.

• Add the amount of filler you want in the tentor container and mix until a homogeneous mixture.

• Mix the content of the 2 containers and pour.

* Because the "working time" of polyurethane resin is generally only a few minutes, if the base is mixed with the resin tensifier and then bring the filler, risk the resin harden before you can pour it, so the filler is mixed separately into the 2 components before mixing them.
