COLTCAST HEAVY DUTY is a polyurethane resin, two-component, rigid, solvent-free, with low viscosity, mainly used for encapsulation and insulation of electrical cables. Allow encapsulation at end of cable up to 1kV.

The product has a minimal contraction, provides chemical / mechanical / thermal resistance properties. Water / moisture resistance.

Applications, resin COLTCAST HEAVY DUTY

The "COLTCAST HEAVY DUTY" kit is used to isolate cable junctions in junction boxes or as sealing / filling material for electrical component protection boxes.

The kit is easy to use and "on the ground" - because it is prepackaged in 2 bags united by a seal. By removing the seal, the 2 components shall be mixed without the need for any pre-weighing or mixing instruments, mixing containers or casting container.

The mixture is black, opaque, and the specific consumption is 1.1 kg / litu.

USE OF COLTCAST HEAVY DUTY

Surface preparation: 

Before "sealing," make sure all surfaces are free of any moisture (maximum moisture content of the surface should not exceed 4%). 

Also, make sure the surface is not contaminated with oils, fats, dust, lubricants, emulsifiers and other impurities that could prevent adherence.

Mixing and manual application

COLTCAST HEAVY DUTY is supplied in a two-chamber bag in the appropriate mixing ratio. 
resin (component A) and hardener (component B) are mixed by removing the clamp and mixing the contents inside the bag for 2-4 minutes.

After thorough mixing, the corner of the bag should be cut off and the packaging can be used as a "casting container '.

CAUTION: Mixing the components should be done very well, especially on the corners of the bag until the mixture becomes completely homogeneous. Incomplete mixing or using a wrong mixing ratio will result in irregular or partial curing. If moisture comes in, the resin mixture will foam during hardening. 

The bags should be kept at a temperature between 10-30 C. When stored under very cold conditions, the harsher can crystallize. If this happens, simply heat (40 C) the bag gently until all the crystals have melted again.

Before use, take a adhesion test to ensure that the adhesion is optional.

The bags must be kept in dry and cool rooms for up to 12 months. Protect material against moisture and direct sunlight. Storage temperature: 10-30 C The products must remain in their original, unopened containers, bearing the manufacturer's name, product name, batch number and safety labels for application.
