Instructions for using polyurethane resin Multicast 1
resin Multicast 1 is mixed together with the ISO 2 catalyst, in equal proportion, 100 base parts: 100 hardening parts (mixing is made based on weight parts, weigh the 2 substances).
After weighing the two components, mix well and pour. After hardening a white-ivory object is obtained with the appearance of plastic injected.
resin Multicast 1 has a low exothermic reaction, but it is recommended that for casting parts that exceed 5-10 mm in thickness, mix with mineral filler - Filler B (see fillers category).
When adding filler (or dye), in order not to reduce working time, it is recommended that the filler / dye be brought before mixing the 2 components (base and hardening). Weigh the 2 components (base and hardening) into 2 different containers. Add the amount of filler / dye to each and mix. Then the contents of the 2 containers mix together and pour. The working time starts to run only when the two components (base and catalyst) come into contact.
Preparation and application
- Mix the Multicast resin and ISO 2 hardener separately until uniform before weighing.
- Weigh 100 parts resin and 100 parts ISO 2. Observe the times specific to the Multicast 1, 2, 6 or 12 version.
- Mineral filler B is optional and changes viscosity, processing times and mechanical properties; the data sheet specifies up to 350 parts and recommends it for thicknesses above 5 mm.
- Do not use the times and properties of the unfilled mixture as values for the filled mixture.
- Keep materials in their original, tightly closed containers at 15–25 °C.
Consult the safety data sheet and batch label before use.
