resin GTS is a two-component resin made up of: base / GTS and hardener / MEKP (cobalt based) .GTS is a polyester resin, unsaturated, stable UV, with medium reactivity.

GTS polyester resin applications

GTS polyester resin is recommended for the production of cast parts and transparent or translucent figures, the inglogation / encapsulation of objects, promotional materials, medical, geological preservation, display or decorative activities.

Use of GTS polyester resin:

On base / GTS add 0,6 - 2,0% tarner / MEKP. The working time may vary from 15 to 60 min, depending on the amount of hardening added. The addition of the tarner depends on the amount of base / GTS to be prepared at a single pour see table below:

Working times with GTS polyester resin:

Casting moulds can be made of RTV silicone, plastic (polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC), metal or wood. It is necessary to use a Distilling agent. resin Viscovoss is poured in layers of maximum 20 mm thick. The last layer is covered with foil, after the air bubbles came out, to get a non-sticky surface. The product obtained by casting can be processed by drilling, grinding and polishing.

Protective measures in the use of the GTS polyester race:

Ensure good ventilation, polyester resin contains styrene. The maximum amount of styrene smoke allowed in the working area (MAC value) is 20 ppm = 84 mg / m3. Viscovoss GTS is flammable, irritating to the respiratory organs and skin. Keep out of reach of children, preferably in a cool, well ventilated place. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
