VISCOVOSS G311 SB (Gelcoat)

resin VISCOVOSS G311 SB (Gelcoat) - is an accelerated polyester resin (fast cured) based on cobalt. Polyesteric resin, VISCOVOSS G311 SB is stable UV, has high impact resistance and scratches, features doubled by a very good "stretch to break" indicator of 7.1%. 

VISCOVOSS G311 SB (Gelcoat) polyester resin can be pigmented with an added 10-25% paste pigment (preferably 15%).

VISCOVOSS G311 SB resin heater is MEKP.

VISCOVOSS G311 SB Gelcoate has the following characteristics:

  • Available in 2 variants: colourless or white
  • UV stable
  • Quick hardening (cobalt based)
  • Painted

A "Gelcoat" type product such as Viscovoss G311 SB polyester resin is used to form the surface layer / protective layer for: 

  • Parts exposed to weather and water, parts subject to deformation, abrasion or low temperatures.
  • For industrial parts, transport parts, sports goods, artistic works and boat construction

Instructions for use of the epoxy resin Viscovoss G311 SB

The average consumption for Viscovoss G311 SB polyester resin is 0.6 Kg / m2 for a layer thickness of approximately 0.5mm. VISCOVOSS G311 SB (GelCoat) polyester resin can be applied by brushing or with any special equivalent, directly on the surface or on the mould (counter-mould)

The use of a demoulding agent for the protection of the mould is recommended. The surfaces on which the resin is applied must have a temperature between 18 C and 25 C.

If multiple layers are applied, the next layer should be applied after 1 hour (the earliest) and maximum 8 hours.
