NECURON 730 is a professional epoxy plate designed for the realization of plates, models and technical tools for applications where dimensional stability, temperature resistance and precise CNC processing are required.

Due to high thermal resistance, up to approximately 130°C, and the low coefficient of thermal expansion, NECURON 730 is a suitable choice for moulds used in prepreg, vacuum forming, lamination and manufacture of composite components as well as in thermoforming processes.

Processing and recommendations

NECURON 730 can be CNC-machined using metalworking tools. For large models, the manufacturer recommends avoiding very thick sections and, where possible, machining out the inside of the tool to promote more uniform heating and reduce the risk of cracking.

For multi-plate construction, it is recommended that the surfaces be flat and parallel, to obtain correct and stable glued joints.

Important: for applications with temperature, repeated cycles or large geometry, we recommend validation of the process through own tests before final production.
